What area do FS People cover?
We are a national company, although our base is in the south east of England. We interview candidates face to face wherever we can, and we’ve placed people in every region of the country.

How much is it going to cost?
That’s very much dependant on the following factors: Volume of business, location, existing client relationship and the kind of person you’re looking for. Call or email us and we can let you know an exact costing.

Do we have to pay anything in advance?
No. We only charge a fee when we have found someone for you, never in advance.

What if you act for us but can’t find a suitable candidate?
Then you don’t pay a thing, regardless of whatever work we’ve done on your behalf. Our company operates on a no placement – no fee basis.

When do we have to pay?
Our terms of business are always payment within 30 days of the candidate starting.

Are your candidates for permanent or temporary positions?
At this time, always permanent placements. The nature of the business means we don’t offer temporary positions at the moment.

Do you supply written references?
All our candidates are screened and all relevant questions are asked, but we don’t supply written references for 2 reasons: Firstly, the time required in doing so would mean a huge delay in getting the candidate to our clients. By the time the references were in, the candidate would have started a job elsewhere. Secondly, the vast majority of positions within financial services require extensive referencing to be carried out by the employer prior to start date, regardless of any references we could supply.

How do I know you won’t just send me anyone?
Quite simply, because we’ve built a strong industry reputation based on listening to our clients and making sure we understand them and their vacancies. We wont waste our time, our client’s time or our candidates time in putting people forward for jobs they are not suitable for.

What do we need to do to start the process?
The first step is to let us know about the vacancy you have. Once we know what you’re looking for we’ll give you the costing and send you an agreement to sign. As soon as we have that signed and sent back to us, your vacancy will be live and we’ll be looking for suitable people.
